Ilam Student Accommodation is an apartment-style complex offering independent living on campus for 847 residents, whether you are in your first-year, or completing postgraduate study. The secure, fully-equipped apartments are situated on campus next to the Ilam Homestead and Gardens and will enable you to discover a great community of like-minded students, just five minutes’ walk from lecture theatres and other campus facilities. Ilam Student Accommodation offers a diverse community with students of all ages, at all levels of study and from all over the world. 

Centrally located on Homestead Lane, Ilam Student Accommodation is surrounded by other halls and only a short 5-minute walk to the University of Canterbury campus. This property offers 3 apartment types - Mānuka, Kōwhai, and Hīnau, all fully-furnished rooms including single or king single beds. Single sex or non-alcohol apartments are available upon request. 

Property facilities include study room, common room with pool table, communal kitchen, laundry, secure access to property and bedroom and so much more!

The residents’ wellbeing and support is at the top of the priority list, and Ilam Student Accommodation further offers residents services, security, and pastoral care 24/7, including a strong and vibrant Residential Life Program.
