With a maximum of 64 full-time students, Kirkwood Avenue Hall offers the support and community of a first-year hall in a self-catered environment. Kirkwood Avenue Hall provides the flexibility for students with allergies, specific dietary requirements, or who just prefer the independence of self-catering.
Kirkwood Avenue Hall offers multiple social spaces, study spaces, the UC Recreation Centre nearby to help maintain a balanced lifestyle, and the support of four Residential Assistants to ensure you make the most of your first year at UC. This property is located on-campus just across the road from UC RecCentre, so it'll only take you a 2–5 minute walk to lectures.
Fully furnished single and ensuite (own bathroom) rooms with king single beds are available. Single rooms include a hand basin and mirror. Kitchens provide lockable cupboards for food storage and individual fridge and freezer space.
Bed linen is not provided but can be purchased on arrival.
Kirkwood Avenue Hall and flats are owned by the University of Canterbury and UniLodge Auckland Ltd is proud to be contracted in partnership to manage the services for the hall on their behalf. UniLodge is fully embedded in the wider University of Canterbury student support environment making connections with support services on campus as well as external services.
